Animals on the Farm

We carefully choose the animals we bring onto our farm, looking for unique breeds and dispositions that are calming, yet entertaining.  They each have their own way of adding value to our farm.

  • Suri alpacas - Stratus, Keeley, Laszlo, Kuzco, Dynamo, and Huacaya alpaca - Scotty;  Known for their luxurious fiber, we have it processed into skeins of yarn that we then sell.
  • Southdown babydoll sheep - Humphrey and Harlow; Natural lawn mowers, they help keep things trimmed up.  Will be joined in August 2022 by a newborn (spring 2022) lamb named Hazel.
  • Chickens - Too many to name;  Variety of breeds, chosen for their unique looks as well as the color of eggs they produce;  Produce an average of thirty eggs per day that we then sell to the public.
  • Great pyraneese dogs - Edie and Aspen; Bred to be livestock protectors, they keep animal predators away, but are sweet to humans.
  • Cats - Turner; Tabitha, Twila, and Greta; Sometimes cuddly and sometimes elusive, but always keep small varmints in check.
